A Challenge in Blue

Greetings! If you are snowed in like me, take some time to join us at Clear It Out for a new challenge this week. The theme this week is to use shades of blue and the stash item is to use ribbon, twine or fibers.

For my card, I used this sweet image from Lacy Sunshine and dipped into my paper stash for some blue paper and DSP. My cardstock is Island Indigo by Stampin Up and the designer paper comes from various leftover paper packs. I used some matching SU ribbon and some of my flower punches for the rest. Thanks for looking! Check out the challenge for your chance to win some fun prizes~!

A Copycat Challenge

Hello everyone! This week we have a special copycat challenge at Clear it Out. You can use anything for your stash item and the challenge is to copy one of our design team cards. For my card, I copycatted Sujin's card that you can see here on her blog. I liked how she divided the designer paper into the 4 part background design behind the main image, so I copied her idea!

For the image, I used a Birdhouse design by StitchyBear and colored it in with pencils and blender pens. Then, I added my stash item of small rhinestones to the center of the flowers. All paper is by Stampin Up and is in a lovely dark purple color called Eggplant Envy.

Thanks so much for looking! Come join our challenge this week!

Sweet Bee!

We have a new challenge going on this week at Clear it Out! Join us! Here's what you do:

Make a card with layers using your stash of designer papers. That's it! Easy, right?

It was a perfect challenge for a new valentine I had in mind. Although I usually cringe at the awful puns made by newscasters trying to sound clever, I do appreciate a cute pun like this one on my cards and this awesome bee set which you can find at Stamp Art by Kathryn is really great. You get the bee stamp, plus tons of cute punny sayings with hearts all over. Who could go wrong with that?

Thanks so much for stopping by Have a wonderful week!

Materials used: Stampin up Hexagon embossing folder & red dots DSP, Other DSP from stash drawer, real red hearts punched out, Baker's twine, real red scallop punched out, daffodil delight CS.

A Wintry Thank You

Hello and Happy New Year! After a wonderful holiday, I am so excited to get back into my stamping room and create. One of my first pieces for this year is a vellum poinsettia card. I have been seeing these all over Pinterest like here and wanted to try one. Soooo, for this week's challenge at Clear it Out, I tried one, and I hope you like it as much as I do! Here are the details for the challenge and for my card:
Clear it Out Challenge - Make a Thank You card using your stash of BUTTONS!

To make the card, I simply printed this poinsettia image from Stitchy Bear (Currently FREE!) out twice on VELLUM.  Then, I cut several of the inner layers of the flower out from both and popped them up on dimensionals. Under one layer, I used some green glitter paper to help it match the border around the crumb cake cardstock. Finally, I stamped my "thank you", added the rhinestones and finished it off with a lovely Stampin Up diamond button. These truly are a stash item for me - I hoard them because they are so pretty!

So that's it for me. I hope you are staying warm and having a wonderful day wherever you are!

Hi! Join us for this week's Clear It Out challenge. The theme is "Anything Goes" and the stash item to use is to USE A SNOWFLAKE. We have some great chances to win some stamps, so play along for your chance to win!

For my card, I used a Digi Darla Snowman image. I thought he was so cute with his little sweater. I paired him with the "Endless Wishes Stampin' Up snowflake set and greeting. The paper is also from a new Christmas Stampin' Up stack.

How about s'more craft ideas?

Are you kidding me? Doesn't this just look so festive and yummy? I want to eat that s'more cupcake stamp right off the page.  Hopefully, someone else will too as I made this sweet little cocoa and straw pocket for a craft fair that happens soon. I made some of these last year and they sold well, so I made up a fresh batch this weekend using my new chocolate cupcake digi from Bugaboo. You too can get in on the challenge action over at Clear it Out. This week, the challenge is focused on S'Mores and the stash item is to use something brown and white. I decided to use my Stampin Up striped and polka dots paper paired with some Expresso cardstock and the brown/white striped vintage-looking straw. These are just so nifty and definitely add some fun flair to the whole package. Tucked inside the pocket is some sweet cocoa just waiting to be made on a chilly day. Fun, fun, fun! What will you craft this week?

BINGO Christmas Tag

Greetings! This week the challenge continues at Simply Create Too...It's a Bingo challenge, so pick the letter you want and start crafting! I picked the letter "G" because I wanted to try my hand at a wine tag for Christmas. To make this, I used my big fancy Stampin Up die to cut the base. Next, I stamped some white swirls across the bottom and added a partial, lacy doily. I cut some shimmery snowflakes out of various glitter paper using Stampin Up's snowflake dies and a retired "Cheer" die sentiment. I polished it off with a shiny rhinestone snowflake. Now, when I go to a Christmas party, I have a wine tag to make it look festive. What will you make this week!?
